I recently came across a person looking to create a image of themselves as Rapunzel. I am head over heels for princess fairy tails and jumped at the opportunity to make something they would love.

The client had mentioned they wanted to keep the style similar to that of the recent depiction of Rapunzel from current movies, so I used those styles and colours for reference. I started with the form and pose and face style and worked my way to colours and values after the line work was to my liking.  You can see my rough work and final illustration below.

I loved working on this and found it to be supper cute and a great likeness to the client. I would love to do more character work and I feel like I might start to do these for fun in my pastime.
